Gothic font copy and paste
These styles swap your letters for special Unicode characters (Mathematical Fraktur), so they stay gothic when pasted into bios, display names, captions and chats. They use your text from above.
Unicode gothic only covers A–Z: numbers, accents (é, ü) and punctuation stay plain. Screen readers may read these letters as symbol names, and Instagram search won't match them — keep your real name in plain text too.

Gothic, blackletter, Fraktur and Old English explained
People use these words interchangeably, but they describe different historical styles. Blackletter is the family name; the others are members of it.

Old English font generator
"Old English" is the name most people search for when they want heavy, pointed blackletter — the lettering on newspaper mastheads, diplomas, sports logos, chicano and tattoo art. Strictly, the Old English language was written in a very different script; the name stuck to the font style.
The most famous version, Old English Text MT, is a commercial font. The free fonts closest to it are UnifrakturMaguntia, UnifrakturCook (heavier) and Pirata One (cleaner and easier to read at small sizes).

Check the spelling
Type the exact words, dates and names. Blackletter capitals can be hard to read, so check them letter by letter.
Pick a readable style
Pirata One and Grenze Gotisch stay clear when small; UnifrakturCook and New Rocker need more size. Blackletter usually needs about 4–6 cm per word to stay legible.
Download large
Choose Large (print) and transparent PNG. Use Outline or Mirror only if your artist asks for them.

Common gothic font problems, explained
I see boxes instead of letters
The device or app has no font for Mathematical Fraktur characters. Older phones and some games show boxes. Send a PNG instead.
Numbers and accents stay plain
Unicode has gothic A–Z only — no gothic digits or accented letters. Real fonts here include 0–9 and é, ü, ñ, ß, so use a PNG for those.
My username won't save
Instagram, TikTok and Discord usernames only allow plain letters, numbers, periods and underscores. Put gothic text in your display name.
People can't find me
Search treats 𝔊𝔬𝔱𝔥𝔦𝔠 as different characters from "Gothic". Keep searchable words in plain text.
Screen readers and gothic text
Screen readers may read each character's symbol name or skip it. Use gothic text as decoration, not for important information.
The capitals are hard to read
Fraktur capitals look very different from modern letters. For names, try Pirata One or Grenze Gotisch, or use gothic capitals sparingly.
